3. What are healthy foods?

How can you know what is good for your health? I have been following some basic rules about eating healthy food. The first one is, I shouldn't eat out much. I don't eat food in restaurants everyday. Sometimes I don't eat food out of my home even once in a week. This may seem boring to you, but its good for your health to avoid restaurant food and especially street food. The next rule is to eat nutritious food everyday. In short, try to eat a lot of vegetables. Obviously, you should eat some proteins also, but not necessarily everyday. Try to eat eggs two or three times a week, and some fish and maybe some chicken meat once a week at least. The third rule is you have to avoid fried food, even at home. You can have a little bit of fried food sometimes, but don't have too much of it at any time. The fourth rule is that you have to drink a lot of water everyday your whole life. But don't drink too much, meaning don't drink more than 15 glasses in a day unless you are extremely thirsty on any one given day. The fifth rule is, you have to eat some carbohydrates everyday. If you watch YouTube videos about exercise and diet, you may get the wrong idea that its better to avoid carbohydrates, especially sugar. This is a wrong idea. You can have sugar definitely, especially with tea or coffee. But don't have too much of either sugar, tea or coffee. You should have some rice or bread everyday, but this is just my opinion. I want to remind you that I am not a doctor, so whatever ideas I'm sharing are my own ideas based on what I read and follow myself to maintain my good health. My weight is 74 kilograms, and my height is 5 feet 8 inches. So I maintain ideal body weight more or less, following the above mentioned simple rules.
